Thank You Hashem – Week 177

  • Got back to my parked car and found a ticket on the windshield for parking meter reciept not visible. Under the ticket a malaach put a parking paper within 2 minutes of the ticket so I can get it dismissed. Thank you Hashem and thank you to this mystery person.
  • Thank you Hashem for saving mine and my family’s lives. We were on the way home from NY back to Cleveland, and I was driving our 12-passenger van. Suddenly the brakes stopped working. There was an exit coming up, and everyone screamed for me to take it. Because I was so panicked and flustered, I got off the exit. While getting off, I realized I should have stayed on the highway and used the long shoulder to let the car slow down and come to a stop on its own. As I was thinking that, I realized that I’m on an exit that’s on a downhill, and we’re about to approach oncoming traffic, that was moving at a high speed. My heart was racing, but there was nothing I could do. I tried pumping the brake pedal to no avail. I closed my eyes and asked Hashem to help us. Miraculously, the car came to a complete stop, on its own, a mere inches before the intersection. None of us could believe the open miracle that had happened. We had the car towed to a nearby mechanic. He told us that we’re so lucky to be alive, because the brakes were completely gone, so there was no way that I could have stopped the vehicle. Thank you Hashem
  • We have just arrived home. I thought I left the holy land of Israel but when the Taxi pulled up to my house in the totally dark early morning hour, I saw holiness. My brother inlaw Joey Rishty getting out of his car to go and learn with his son Sammy in shul.                                                                            It is really amazing, especially when you get home from Israel, it is a little sad how unaffiliated most of the Israelis there are. We are so lucky. THANK YOU HASHEM.
  • I have no words that can properly express my thanks to Hashem for walking my daughter to her wedding this week to an amazing young man & a beautiful family! We are thrilled with the marriage & Boruch Hashem look forward to wonderful things from this couple. May there always be many more simchas in Klal Yisrael! Also want to thank Hashem that the snow from just a couple days before the wedding did not affect anyone’s ability to get to the wedding. We were zoche to have many family members join in the simcha, some of whom spent many hours traveling to be at the simcha. Thank You Hashem again & thanks for everyone that was able to partake.
  • Hashem, simply you are the best! Thank you
  • This past Sunday night I was rushing home so I can get to shul and pray mincha & arbit.  I had to find a parking spot near my house, get the kids out of the car & get all the packages out of the car & get everything & everyone into the house as it was very very cold.  I grabbed all my stuff from the car, cell phone, cell phone charger, hat, gloves, packages, etc….  I had a lot of stuff in my hands and I was trying to stuff some of the stuff in my jacket pockets.  Later that night I went to get my cell phone charger from my jacket pocket & the plug was missing.  I said to my wife, it must have fallen into the snow as I was getting everything out of the car, so she offered to go out to check (it was 11 p.m. & I was already ready to climb into bed). I have the BEST wife!!! She came back 5 minutes later & said she didn’t find it.  I said ok, I will say a prayer and on my way to shul in the morning, I will look for it.  Baruch Hashem, I found it!!! Thank you Hashem for helping me find it!
  • Baby boy- mabruk
  • 2 baby girls were named in shul this week. Mabrook and many more simachot.
  • I was driving down a one way street this morning and a young boy was riding his electric scooter in the street against traffic. He was not driving it steady, he was wavering a little. He was not wearing a helmet. As he passed me I made a tefilla to Hashem for this boy to be safe and protected. At that moment I see in my rear view mirror the boy on his scooter swerving out in front of an oncoming mini van. The van stopped and the boy regained control and straightened out back to the side of the street. Thank you Hashem and parents please push for everyone to wear helmets.
  • Thank You Hashem for letting it rain during the night and letting it be nice weather today!
  • Thank you Hashem for always being with us, helping us and caring for us. Thank you for regular happy healthy days that just pass by. Each one is a blessing and is truly appreciated.
  • My friends daughter has become a kallah- mazal tov.
  • I just heard about 3 different simachot in a row. Hashem you are so generous and kind to us.
  • Thank you Hashem for helping me in passing a test in not getting angry. I was faced with a situation and was about to react angrily but I caught myself. I handled it with a smile and with shalom. Baruch Hashem it all worked out perfectly. Had I gotten angry it probably would have made a very big mess. Thank you Hashem for letting it all work out so perfectly and with great pure shalom.
  • As Rabbi Wallerstein said, the greatest simcha a person has when leaving the hospital, is when they disconnect him from all of the machines and take out all of the wires. He now feels free. We have to thank Hashem that we are here and that we are not connected to any machines with any wires. Thank you Hashem.

Thank You Hashem – Week 168

  • THANK YOU HASHEM for the blessing of our 53rd wedding anniversary,NOV.10th, and more THANKS for our Children,Grand children, and Great grand children!

THANK YOU,THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

  • Thank you HaShem for being the King of kings and presidents.  I’m writing this before elections and I really couldn’t care less about who wins because it’s HaShem who picks the rulers end of story. THANK YOU HASHEM for controlling that and everything else. We don’t have anything to worry about because everything is for our best. May Mashiach take over all the presidents and rulers very soon BzH.
  • This week, as I was leaving my house, I somehow missed the first step and fell down about five cement stairs landing flat on the floor. I must thank Hashem that as I fell I did not hit my head. Luckily for the rubber mats (used to diminish risk of slipping on ice in the winter) had been placed and when I reached the bottom, I did not hit the cement, rather I fell on the mat. Barouch Hashem, I came out with only a cracked bone in my arm, a sprain in the wrist and a big bruise on my leg.  It could have been a lot worse had I fallen on the cement directly or had I fallen differently. Anything could have happened. I could have hurt my head, scraped my face, injured my back, broken some bones…. But B’H I got off lucky!! I also feel the need to thank Hashem for all the other days in my life where I could use both my hands and arms normally. One has no idea how hard it is to only be able to use one arm/hand instead of two!
  • Thank you Hashem for letting me enjoy a shining moment of my 8 year old son. He was struggling as he was very thirsty before going to sleep on yom kippur night and really wanted to drink water. He managed to trick the yeser hara and managed to push it off and fast until the next day. Thank you Hashem.
  • Thank you Hashem for what seems like a bad day – to know what a good day feels like. For bringing us to a new shul, where the Rabbi is inspiring & a cool person
  • Thank you Hashem for a beautiful simcha of a friend last night.
  • I was buying an article of clothing in a store. As I was approaching the line to pay I figured I would google the item. Baruch Hashem the first item that popped up showed me the same exact item on sale for HALF THE PRICE. Thank you Hashem.
  • Thank you Hashem for all the good people that I can work with everyday.
  • Thank you Hashem for perfect parking spots in a place that’s hard to find.
  • Thank you Hashem for everything! I love you Hashem!
  • Thank you Hashem for letting us see the kidush Hashem in this election. How you made yourself visible on the night of the elections and- Nahaphochu – how you switched everything that the world thought was going to happen. We saw Hillary with a gala party planned but never got off the ground and turned into a somber gathering. All were worried that Trump would not say the proper things when he lost but instead we saw Hillary hiding like a baby and sending message to “go home and go to sleep” thru a third person. Hashem was running all the events this night for our benefit and was hidden until he let us see it unfold in front of our eyes. Ein Od Milvado – Ein lanu melech ela ata! Hashem we have no king other than you!- How lucky we are that Hashem runs the world. Thank you Hashem.
  • Thank You HaShem for….everything!
  • Thank you Hashem for letting Donald Trump become our new President !
  • Thank you Hashem for saving us from that wicked witch Hillary Clinton. Chasdei Hashem
  • I was about to make a small purchase online but for some reason got side tracked. I ended up going out on an errand. I thought to myself why did I do that? I hope I don’t forget to buy it later. I returned back and saw I just received an email from the place I was buying from for $15 off. Thank you Hashem for delaying my purchase and saving me $15.

Thank You Hashem – Week 166

  • I went to do a chesed and help out a customer of mine. It was a very long drive and was above the call of duty but figured it was going to be a kidush Hashem. I spent several hours there and it took much longer than expected. At the end it was all worth it when the person I helped could not stop thanking me for coming all the way down and spending so much time there. I spent most of my work day pretty much closed for any business while I was there. Hashem had other plans. As I was driving back a customer calls me and says he would like to re-order the exact order he had put in with me a while back. He even added some quantities. Thank you so much Hashem for showing me how you can send parnasah so easily especially when we are doing the right thing and trying to be involved in Kidushei Hashem.
  • I was driving on a 4 lane street in the last lane. I was waiting by the light and when it turned green I automatically started driving, as I’m driving past the crosswalk out of the corner of my eye I see someone walking against the light across all 4 lanes, being that I was in the last lane I didn’t notice her and missed her by mere inches. She was a goya and kicked the back of my car and started cursing me out as if I was the one that did something wrong.after it happened I was a little shaken up and I called my husband to tell him what happened, he told me that he just finished writing in to thank you Hashem!!!! thank you Hashem from saving me from a near accident and thank you Hashem that I’m a Jew!
  • I just made a to do list at the office. On it I noted to call a customer regarding an invoice for payment that was a little overdue. At that moment my phone rings and it is that exact customer calling with the credit card. Thank you Hashem.
  • I lost an important item of mine. I started to try and manage without it. I then said hey wait a minute I didn’t even pray and ask Hashem that I be able to find it. I stopped and asked Hashem. Within 30 seconds I found it. Thank you Hashem
  • Someone blocked me in on alternate side parking. I was really upset cuz it was Friday and I had lots of errands to do.  After trying to get out of my spot for 45 minutes with no hope I just sat in my car and thought. what would I say when the person comes? Would I honk till they get annoyed? Will I yell?   Then I realized it was a Jewish car. I said its aseret yemi tushuvah- it’s a Jewish person you never know where or what they need to do.  I will just make it as if I was not waiting 45 minutes to get out.  just as I put my car in park to wait – a stranger passes by and asked me if I need to get out- I said yes, Im tired I’m really stuck. He said I’m a driver for a living. Come out of your car I’ll get it out for you. Within a minute my car was out of the spot. I don’t know how he did it. But I do know that Hashem sent him.
  • Thank you Hashem for the kidush Hashem I was able to be a part of.
  • Thank you Hashem for giving me the strength to go out to an amazing shiur given for my friend’s refoua shelema. I was exhausted and not in the mood to go, but BH Hashem gave me the strength to get up and go. The shiur was amazing and I am so happy I didn’t miss it!
  • Thank you Hashem for letting me catch a mistake at work and being able to correct it before the holiday. Otherwise might have been a difficult situation.
  • I am thankful to have recognized my personality faults and will work on correcting them
  • Thank you Hashem for a wonderful last year. Thank you for being there every step of the way and holding our hand. Thank you for a chance to do teshuba and to start fresh this coming year b’h.
  • Thank you Hashem for the magical creation of a washing machine called Yom Kippur that cleanses all of us of our aveirot.

Thank You Hashem – Week 150

  • I had a car rental while out of town. At the counter they tried to convince me to take the pass for the tolls. I refused being I had no need to travel anywhere requiring a toll. They persisted and kept telling me how if I go thru a toll there is no option to pay cash and I will automatically be charged $80. They had me initial that I understand this and accept. Fine. Of course I end up driving over a small bridge that has such a toll and no option to pay cash. I say oh well what can I do, $80 charge will be applied. I just got an email from the rental company that says invoice. I open it expecting to find the 80 dollar charge but it was only for $7.90. I double checked to see if there was a zero missing on the bottom but there was not. Thank you Hashem.
  • Mi ki Amcha Yisrael- my friend is laying in a hospital bed and calls me and asks me to go and buy nice shabbat candle sticks and candles and bring it to the hospital. I ask why and he says he is mekarev the nurse and she is interested in coming closer to Hashem. He spoke to her about lighting candles for shabbat. He told her he will buy her candle sticks and she was very happy and said that if he bought her candle sticks she promises she will light candles for shabbat and she will even call him to tell him that she did it. Our people are great, sick in a hospital bed still caring about bringing people closer to Hashem and the nurse as well jumping in happily wanting to come closer to Hashem.
  • Thank You Hashem for…EVERYTHING!!!!
  • Thank you Hashem for my parents. Their dedication to helping my family is priceless. We take parents sometimes for granted, but they are precious jewels always by our side. Always shining light on us with guidance.
  • Thank you Hashem that my good friend got engaged!
  • I visited a friend who is caring for a parent that isn’t well – realized closer up minor and major things that I can do, that this friend’s parent cannot do. Thank you Hashem!
  • Thank you Hashem that another school year is coming to a close. It was a good year.
  • thank you Hashem. thank you.
  • Thank you Hashem that things are normal in my life.
  • Read in the news today how a terror attack was averted in Manhattan today. 3(call them what you want) were stopped in their car in the Holland Tunnel for a broken windshield. When cops checked the car – they found all types of weapons, explosives, etc. and that the crew was headed straight into NYC. Who knows what they were up to…….Hashem always protects us. Sometimes we see it and sometimes we don’t. Thank you Hashem!
  • Thank you Hashem for my new office that is much better than my old one and much less expensive as well.
  • My friends son got married last night-mabruk
  • Engagement party last night-mazal tov
  • I had some unfinished business at work before leaving Friday before shabbat and shavuot. The yeser hara was telling me how can you leave, stay longer and take care of it. I did not give in and instead I left work for Shabbat and the Holiday and asked Hashem to please take care of it. A jews job is to know on shabbat not to worry about his business that Hashem is taking care of everything. I returned after the holiday and that is exactly what happened. Everything all worked itself out on its own. Hashem handled it all for me without me having to lift a finger. Thank you Hashem for Shabbat.
  • My friend has become a grandfather- mabruk on the baby boy.
  • Thank you Hashem for letting me be part of a kahal that knows and appreciates the importance of Torah. Many are planning to be away for the summer but are leaving with plans on continuing their learning programs together while away. This inspired me to join in as well.
  • I was deciding between 2 different items at a store. One was $70 more than the other. I decided to go with the more expensive one. I went to the register with it. When the cashier rang it up it showed  $70 cheaper than the price marked. She called her manager to check it and the lower price was correct. It was put on sale moments earlier and was not marked to show the new price yet.  Thank you Hashem for this extra savings and for giving me the better item at the same price as the cheaper one.
  • Brit milah this shabbat- mazal tov.
  • My eyes have been itching me due to allergies. This made me stop and appreciate my eyes. Thank you Hashem for my eyes, they are truly priceless.
  • I parked my car by a meter and the muni meter machine would not take a credit card. The machine kept saying error. I had no change on me. I prayed to Hashem not to get a ticket while I ran into the store. Came out after shopping and no ticket. Thank you Hashem, do not think this is unappreciated.
